Paint Nite: Giraffes In Forest
The Original Paint Nite: Unleash your inner artist
Come paint with the best PaintNite Team in the city, #TeamMike
Now that the rules on quarantine and lock-down have been eased, #TeamMike is happy to return to hosting live-in-person painting events! YAY!
Follow the demonstration as we spend 2 hours recreating the sample picture above. Feel free to add your own creative twist or go completely off the grid and paint whatever you want! Enjoy the elegance of hand crafted, wooden easels, which are also for sale at the event. Aprons are available to use at your own risk! TeamMike has no doctors and can’t say 100% what germs may be on them. Perhaps just bring old clothes!
There is no prior experience required and you may discover that you have the skills hidden within you. #TeamMike will draw out those creative parts of you and also encourage the ordering of many drinks to help your confidence along the way :)
So get ready for a hilarious night of pushing your artistic boundaries, having fun with friends, and enjoying some food and drinks!
The O.T. Brewing Company opened it's doors at the beginning of July. Come in and enjoy PaintNite in our well lit taproom. We hope you like beer as much as we do! And although there's no kitchen, we have a great relationship with a local pizza place nearby. Or you may have food delivered from anywhere!
Mike is a mainly self taught artist born and raised in Calgary. From a young age he has been interested in drawing, painting, coloring and building things. In school his favorite subjects were always art class and wood shop. Most of the paintings done by Mike are in acrylic, He doesn't mind working on any type of substrate, whether it be canvas, wood, paper, metal, cloth, or anything. In the recent years he has been working with screen printing, to make custom shirts and clothing, as well as other prints. Please ask me about my shirt printing business - New Favourite Shirts, and grab one of my business cards for my other 'artistic services', that I provide! In years past Mike traveled to Yukon where his Uncle taught him about wood carving, lathe work and instrument making. Although most of his time is used painting, other interests include graphic design, cooking, hockey and the guitar.
