About the cause

Every year University of Alberta students in the Pre-vet/Animal health club choose a local charity to support with various fundraisers like this one throughout the school year. Misfits of Alberta Animal Rescue was chosen as the charity the club will be supporting for fall 2019/winter 2020.\\n\\nMisfits of Alberta Animal Rescue is a registered not for profit based in Parkland county. The rescue was started in 2017 by 3 sisters with the mission to help animals in their community. Misfits of Alberta takes in a variety of animals including cats, dogs, horses, cows and pigs, which have been neglected or surrender by their owners. With the help of volunteers and foster parents the animals are cared for and adopted out to loving homes.\\nFunds raised will go towards pay for veterinary bills and give the rescue the opportunity to help even more animals in need.\\n\\nThank you for your support.
