Craft Corner Kitchen

Since opening their doors in 2016, Craft Corner Kitchen has been listening to what their customers’ requests and are excited to be home to Penticton’s own Gastropub! Locally sourced produce is incredibly important to Jon Cote, Craft Corner Kitchen Owner. “In an area surrounded by great resources, it’s important for us to showcase them. We welcome professional Chef Ian Stilborn, formerly of Liquidity Bistro in Okanagan Falls. Ian is orchestrating the food menu to reflect the community’s needs. The menu will consist of many appetizers made for sharing, featured sandwiches and composed dinner dishes to enjoy with a nice bottle of wine, BC crafted beer or one of my award-winning cocktails.” Craft Corner Kitchen has a great trendy space to launch Penticton’s first authentic Gastropub. Gastropubs have typical pub fare made with quality ingredients and unique twists. Using local products and supporting local vendors is at the forefront of Cote’s vision. Craft Corner Kitchen will offer a $5 happy hour menu (food and drinks) from 3pm-6pm Monday through Saturday and will stay open late every night. “When you find yourself at their Craft Corner, you’re going to find yourself stepping into a little piece of our circle, and we know you’ll love it. The handcrafted cocktails you’ll drink and the outstanding food you’ll eat will, without question, have you coming back for more. You will NEVER eat more local than this! When you support the Craft Corner you’ll be supporting an entire network of local vendors.” Let the Craft Corner be your new watering hole, your go-to date night, or your fondest vacation memory. Whether you’re the new guy in town or you’ve been around for eons, swing by and pull up a chair; stay for one, or stay for a while.

Photo of a Yaymaker Host named Yvonne Bernardy-Dearden

My name is Yvonne but I prefer to be called Von.   I am a self-taught artist and have been drawing and painting as far back as I can remember - which is a long time ago.   I have dabbled in oils and watercolours and found my favourite medium, acrylics, 20 years ago.   I was born in Ontario and moved with my two kids to Vancouver Island 25 years ago. I first started exhibiting my works at the Nanaimo Art Gallery, and participated across the Island at various group and one-man shows. I then moved to the mainland ten years ago and exhibited in Vancouver.    I am now in Penticton and have been here one year. I have a fabulous studio and have held a couple of my own paint nights and classes in my studio with friends and colleagues.   I'm currently selling my pieces at a local winery. I love painting sceneries, wildlife, still lifes and at the moment I'm painting a series of birds.   I am excited to join the team at Yaymakers and look forward to meeting you and helping y'all find your inner artist.    Contact information is Follow me on Instagram at vonart, (Yvonne BD).
