About the cause
Established in 1960, the OSA is one of the longest-running schools of its type in Canada. The OSA offers a variety of performing and visual arts courses for students of all ages and stages of development, and hosts periodic visual art exhibitions.\\\\nOur home is the Shatford Centre, a centre of creativity that has been a part of Penticton's history for almost 100 years. \\\\nThe 30,000-square-foot building, with classrooms, studios, and a recital hall that seats up to 300 people, operates as a conference centre and events facility. The following is the OSA's mandate:The Okanagan School of the Arts operates through an elected Board of Directors that is accountable to the membership and responsive to the community. Promoting interest in and study of the creative process through arts, securing ongoing funding; advancing arts appreciation through diverse experiences; acting as an economic driver in our community; providing space and facilities to expand and integrate creativity.
The Original Paint Nite: Unleash your inner artist
Join us as we raise glasses and funds for this worthy cause! When you buy a ticket to this event, $15 will be donated to the Okanagan School of the Arts. There will be a cash bar with wine and beer. Also OSA will have a prepaid buffet which needs to be ordered four days before the event to ensure enough time for the food to be prepared. Feel good about giving as our local artist guides you and your friends through two hours of painting, drinking, and laughing til your cheeks hurt. The best part? You dont have to be an artist to have an amazing time.

Welcome Penticton’s Rebel with A Cause… to put his unique spin on all he does and make a mark on your hearts as you laugh while you paint! Suspenders, bow ties, expensive vests worn over a ripped old t-shirt and skate-boarding around town to work are but a few of the many things Jon is known for around these parts. You’d recognize him as one of the Paintnite members that’s always doing things “just a little different” than expected. He’ll bring out your inner artist in a fun, down to earth and enjoyable way, because he’s just like one of you! A graphic designer, self-proclaimed nerd who loves local craft beers and meeting new people as much as he can, Jon also loves the music industry and can be seen playing his bass guitar whenever possible. Jon’s hope is to carry out Paintnite’s mission which is “to encourage creativity, empower communities and inspire connections (away from the screen), all while offering a new way to go out and have fun”. Welcome aboard Jon!
We had a great time. Host made it really easy and fun to paint.
