Paint Nite: Spring Reflection

The Original Paint Nite: Unleash your inner artist

Join us for a virtual fun afternoon of painting a springtime reflection in the lake.

For this event you will need these supplies that can be found at Dollarama, Michaels or any other store that carries art supplies:

Canvas, wood or heavy duty paper - any size!

Paint - any ACRYLIC paint, in colours red, white, blue and 2 shades of green (one dark and one light/bright)

Brushes - 3 different sizes (broad brush for background, flat brush and thin brush for detailing)

Easel - Optional!  Prop your canvas up against something or lay it flat on the table.

Other supplies you will need:

a plastic cup for water, paper towels, rag, or cloth to wipe up any messes

paper plate or palette to mix paint on

apron or old piece of clothing you don't mind getting messy (optional)

Plastic tablecloth, trash bag, newspapers or paper towels to protect the flat surface where you’re working

Hello! I am an energetic, outgoing and creative person who went to Wexford Collegiate Art School.  I have recently found that painting is my passion and I wanted to share that with others. Painting with others is a fun way to learn to paint and to bring out our creative side. I have hosted paint nights with my family members previously in their homes (before COVID-19) and more recently, virtually, with friends.  Everyone couldn’t believe that they could paint!  You see, you don’t have to know how to paint but you can have fun learning.  I am very excited to now be hosting on Yaymaker and I know this will be a memorable experience for us all.  I know that the first thing that comes to a person’s mind is “I am not a painter or I am not artistic” but yet they are quite surprised at their first canvas painting. It’s fun, creative, passes the time and you meet similar people just like you, starting out with their very first painting. I urge all people to give it a try, at least once, from the comfort of their own homes!  Please see my events listed below:
