Crescendo Confections: Tarte Tatin
Crisp apples drenched in rich, buttery caramel on a flaky crust…can dessert get any better?!
Grab your skillet! Join me in the kitchen, as we learn how to create this classic treat and experience the music of one of the world's most renowned composers: Gabriel Fauré.
I'll help you tackle basic baking skills, develop a solid technique, and guide you though the final touches of creating delicious goodies!
You'll need:
- oven-safe frying pan (essential), cutting board & paring knife, large mixing bowl, cheese grater, rolling pin OR clean wine bottle OR tall and cylindrical water glass, large plate, fork, measuring cups & spoons, small bowl, oven & stovetop, fridge
- flour (all-purpose or cake/pastry), pound of butter, white sugar, 6 large apples, salt
Our class will be about an hour and a half long. Can’t wait to get messy in the kitchen with you!
