About the cause
Williamsville Music Boosters is a charitable 501-(c)(3) group of volunteer parents, staff and faculty of the Williamsville Central School District. We fund music and arts events for the entire district which are not covered by district funding. Every dollar raised is used for programs and events. We bus elementary school students to concerts and shows. We pay professional artists and musicians to workshop with our students and perform in side-by-side concerts. For example, we have hosted The Heavyweights Brass Band, Jeff Jarvis, Denis DeBlasio, and Miro Quartet. We subsidize our Middle School Honors Band members for travel to conference. We provide meals for our high school musical cast-crew and pit musicians during rehearsals. We provide scholarship awards for high school seniors accepted into a music program at college. We are funding the commissioning of music compositions to be premiered by our high school ensembles. Website: williamsvillemusicboosters.com.
