About the cause
We are small group of Men and Women who work at HMEA that are spread out all over Central MA, Metrowest, Franklin and Boston area! We spend our days helping children diagnosed with developmental disabilities increase their social skills, adaptive living skills, and daily living skills. Our Behavior Therapists and BCBA's work day in and day out to provide excellent ABA services while also becoming an integral part of their client's families. With the donations we receive, we will be able to provide materials that are necessary to develop and teach our clients. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go a long way! From the entire team here at Children's ABA Services, we thank you in advance and a look forward to seeing you at Paint Nite!!!
The Original Paint Nite: Unleash your inner artist
Grab your friends and unleash your inner artist at the Original Paint Nite. You’ll go from a blank canvas to a masterpiece of your own, with plenty of laughs along the way. Guided by a talented and entertaining artist, you'll be amazed at what you create, and how much fun you have doing it.
Yaymaker events give you everything you need to get up, get out, and get making! Instruction is provided by an expert host, so no experience is required, and everything you need is supplied. Grab your friends to paint, plant, tinker, and build—and give your week something to shout about.
If you are coming with a group (yay, how fun!) make sure you arrive 30 minutes before to secure seats together. If you arrive earlier to eat first, please tell the host that you are attending the Paint Nite event. Head over to secure your seats, then enjoy your dinner! Parking is available in their lot! Get there for the best spot! Nu Kitchen is a gathering place for the local community. Here you can relax, meet a friend and enjoy wonderful, healthy and fresh offerings. During the day you will find the place full of people using the free wifi, having meetings, or just relaxing and reading a book. At night it turns into a hip restaurant with a full waitstaff and an after 5PM menu featuring local and craft beers and wine. Sip on a local brew or glass of wine surrounded by a new gallery show and a lovely atmosphere, while you paint your own masterpiece with Paint Nite!
Gwen Walsh is a lifelong art lover and maker with a passion for art history, puns, and recycled art. She spent much of her childhood plein air painting with her dad on the Maine coast, helping him make jewelry in his shop in central Connecticut, and trying fruitlessly to sit still as a subject for his portrait painting classes. Gwen collects books on mid-century art, which serve as inspiration for her original work. In her free time, she enjoys wandering through the woods, night swimming, making tiny greeting cards, and working on her first jewelry line. She always ends up getting paint all over her face – its funnier if you don’t tell her about it.
