About the cause

Boston 1 Dragon Boat Team has finally achieved a goal we have pursued for 5 years: going to Hungary and participating in the World Championships. We are looking to fundraise enough money to provide substantial financial aid to our paddlers most in need (particularly college students) so they can participate on a journey they have worked so hard for. Please come paint with us and support our paddlers!

The Original Paint Nite: Unleash your inner artist

Grab your friends and unleash your inner artist at the Original Paint Nite. You’ll go from a blank canvas to a masterpiece of your own, with plenty of laughs along the way. Guided by a talented and entertaining artist, you'll be amazed at what you create, and how much fun you have doing it.

Yaymaker events give you everything you need to get up, get out, and get making! Instruction is provided by an expert host, so no experience is required, and everything you need is supplied. Grab your friends to paint, plant, tinker, and build—and give your week something to shout about.

Your host

Justine was inspired by her mother to become an artist at a young age.  Whether it be sewing together scrap fabric from mom's sewing projects or finger painting next to her as she painted her newest t-shirt, Justine always looked for ways to be creative.  Even if that meant coloring all over the hallway.   Justine has since moved on from pealing wall paper so it looked like dancing bears to getting a BA in Theater Tech and Design. Since college, she has worked in theaters as a Scenic Artist, and most recently has been working at a summer camp, and an after school program teaching art to children.  She hopes to inspire curiosity and encourage those she teaches to not be afraid to think outside the box.   When she's not painting, you can find her wandering Micheal's looking for new inspiration, geeking out watching re-runs of old star trek, or trying to master her grandma's recipes.  She also hangs out with her two crazy cats and hopes when you come to Paintnite there is not a hidden paw print in the painting. Most importantly, she wants you to relax, laugh at her bad jokes and have fun!
