The Original Paint Nite: Unleash your inner artist

This special event at The Machine Shop includes plated appetizers for all guests, courtesy of The Mill Steakhouse and Wine Bar.

Raise your glass to a NEW kind of night out! Paint Nite® invites you to create art over cocktails at a local restaurant or bar, guided by a professional artist and party host. Grab your friends and spend two hours drinking, laughing, and flexing your creative muscles. There’s no experience necessary and we’ll provide all the supplies, so you don’t have to worry about a thing (except having a great time!). Must be 19+. Drinks may be purchased at the event. The event begins promptly at the start time listed above. Please allow extra time to find parking and get settled. If you're coming with a group (yay, how fun!) make sure you arrive early to get seats together.

Your location

Machine Shop Engineer Room - 36

In 2014, The Machine Shop acquired temporary permits to start construction and renovations to its 38,000 sq. ft. building. Using only local contractors, engineers and architectural firms the building was brought back to its original state. The venue now boasts over 10,000 square feet of assembly space, and is suited for a variety of functions inclusive of a commercial kitchen, instruction area, as well as rehearsal and meeting spaces. The building has been developed with over 19,000 square feet of creative office and studio space making it one of the most vibrant places in Northern Ontario. This is the second historically significant building that has been restored on the site, the first being the new home of the Algoma Conservatory of Music, located in Francis H. Clergue’s historical 1895 North American Headquarters. The Mill Steakhouse + Wine Bar, also located at the Machine Shop, will be providing the food for the Paint Nite events.

Your host

As a self-taught artist, my artistic journey started 10 years ago. Since then, I have done creative pieces and personal paintings for people and businesses of Sault Ste Marie and Area. I have a great appreciation for art and creativity and I’m a firm believer that “if I can do it, anyone can”. My background education is in Emergency and Community services which has now led me into my most recent studies of Developmental services and Behavioural Science. I have a strong need to help people and have been a voice and advocate for the Autism community and those with developmental disabilities for many years. I believe all people are capable of accomplishing anything they put their mind too…Cheers!
