I am currently a student at Hunter College studying art, dance, and psychology. With both my mother and grandmother being artists, I have been practicing my craft for as long as I can remember. Entering college, I was privileged to receive a scholarship from The Art Guild for a number of my pastel drawings. Since then, my work has been showcased on college campuses and at various youth events such as Real Life NYC's "Poetry meets Paint" art exhibition, which I co-facilitated. In the summer of 2006, I seized an opportunity to spend a few months abroad enrolled in a fine arts program specialized in drawing and painting. If I am not drawing, painting or doing school work, I am probably dancing. For the past two summers I traveled to Mexico as a guest dance teacher for a children's home. Dance and visual art go hand-in-hand. I am currently working on a piece that incorporates the two.
