Tucked among the industrial warehouses, business offices and recycling centers off Coffee in northwest Bakersfield is a sprawling building complex that looks — at first glance — like a new state-of-the-art super-gym.
But as you approach, there are indications that all is not what it seems: loud conversation, bottles clanking, and laughter coming from the back patio. The Budweiser banner at the entrance is a dead giveaway this is not a place for weights and ellipticals. It’s a bar. A really big bar.
The massive building, the size of a strip mall, is all shiny metal and glass, with a matching block-length immaculate parking area.
This is 1933: Bakersfield's newest event center, sports bar, restaurant and club!
Enjoy games on the patio with friends on a lazy afternoon, DJs or concerts in the night club, lunch, dinner or both with friends and now Paint Nite! on Wednesday evenings. Come early to eat or go ahead and eat (and drink) while painting. Your choice! See you at 1933.
