Paint for a Purpose - Give Hope, Fight Cancer

Keysight Technologies is raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to fund treatments for patients who are suffering from all forms of blood cancers. Help Keysight by attending this fundraiser event on Wednesday, Sept 25 at 6:30pm.

When you buy a ticket to this event, $15 will be donated to LLS.

To date, Yaymaker has helped raise over $3.5 million for those in need with lively creative events that feel more fun than philanthropic.

Bear Republic Brewing Co. (Rohnert Park)

The story of Bear Republic, like most other craft brewers, begins with homebrewing. It was the spark for our passion to create quality, hand-crafted beers. We are a family-owned brewery, located in the heart of Sonoma County, California. Why did we decide to craft beers among the grapevines of California’s world-famous Wine Country? Simple. This is where we are from. Founded by 3rd and 4th generation Sonoma County residents, we are family-owned and team-oriented. From brewer to bottler, everyone that works (and plays) together at Bear Republic is dedicated to bringing you fresh, never-filtered craft beer. Our first beer, Ricardo’s Red Rocket Ale, is an example of our hop-forward approach without fear of stepping outside the style-guidelines. Each of our beers, from our flagship IPA, Racer 5, to any of our specialty brewpub-only releases, are carefully crafted with pride in Sonoma County, California.

I grew up painting plein air watercolors with my Dad and sister Sue. My father was an art director at Chicago advertising firms and my sister and I are graphic artists. My father could draw anything and hand letter any font. Sue and I use Apple computers to draw images.  Eliot O'Hara, Frank Webb and Carolyn Lord are a few of my favorite watercolorists. I am getting up to speed with these acrylics working for Paint Nite and am enjoying the challenge.
