Our elegant banquet room is the perfect venue for medium to small group gatherings.  Banquet Facilities can accommodate up to 65+ people  It has it’s own bathroom Highlights  Breakfast at the Sherwood Inn is officially served daily 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., lunch 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and dinner 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., but the cooks will prepare breakfast throughout the day upon request.  Lunch and dinner specials change every day, and dinner entrees are served with soup and salad, and dessert. All dressings are homemade, as are the soups and sauces. We have recently added a new Greek Menu for lunch.  Appetizers are also numerous and include coconut prawns, chicken wings, spare ribs, steak and mushrooms, fried zucchini, onion rings, quesadillas and a fondue favorite. Owner The owner, Angelo Nikitas, is a Greek immigrant and started his first job as a bus boy at the Bold Knight in San Jose. He bought the Sherwood Inn Restaurant in 1979 and has been here ever since. It has always been known for it's family atomosphere as well as its' great food. The Sherwood Inn Restaurant and Lounge offers something for everyone from families, singles to businesses. We have served the Willow Glen/San Jose area for over 35 years and maintained a multi- generation clientele. We offer a large menu selection, beautiful banquet facility, sports lounge, dance floor and a variety of entertainment. In traditional Greek ownership, we serve large portions of food for a reasonable price. We are open 7 days a week for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner 7 am to 10 pm and the lounge to 2 am.

<p><em>If you looked into my art studio, you’d see paint stains all over the floor, randomly bundled up dirty paper towels, paint brushes strewn in a pile, a bottle of Pinot Noir by its empty stained glass, and a painting leaning on the wall overlooking all of this. I’ve been painting for roughly 15 years and this system seems to work for me. I studied Fine Art at the University of Southern CA. During that time, I won the prestigious Arts in Action: Momentum Award sponsored by Volkswagen. The winning piece, "Women Praying," was hung in the Smithsonian for the fall of 2011. </em></p> <p><em>Later, my paintings "L.A. Market" and "La Guanaca Seria" were asked by the Kennedy Center to be hung in the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. Since then I’ve been moving from one teaching job to the other, mostly with kindergarteners and 1st -5th grade. With Paint Nite I’m glad I can finally talk to people my own age. I may not be creating the elaborate and unnecessarily grandiose paintings I’m used to, but I’m glad I can teach others what I really know… how to paint while completely sloshed.
