Beer and Nut Brittle
Hello and thank you for giving me this opportunity to teach fun and helpful recipes. My name is Trish, a Licensed Partner for Yaymaker, I am prior Army, with a ton of culinary experiences and shortcuts.
I am in Mountain Time Zone 9:30 AM, If you are in Pacific 8:30 AM, If you are in Eastern 11:30 AM
What you will need for this experience: Pen and Paper to take down the recipe, we all work at different speeds, I alot 2 hours per each experience, though the entire time may not be needed. We do not have to rush, there is plenty of time for you to ask questions, do not feel shy, everyone is here to learn.
1- 12 ounce beer Apple or Stout is so great , sugar, 2 Cups corn syrup, unsalted butter, baking soda, 3 (5 cups salted or unsalted peanuts if not using bacon)
Mix in: 1 lbs bite size slices of thick bacon, cooked until crispy or salted pretzels, almonds, pistachios, walnuts, cashews, filberts, pecans or mixed nuts
You can place dark, milk, white chocolate over top while warm to melt over top
Large Heavy bottom saucepan, Wooden mixing spoon, measuring cups, measuring spoons, candy thermometer, parchment paper, 2 large lipped cookie pans
