The Original Paint Nite: Unleash your inner artist

Paint With Me - This special Paint Nite experience is open to painters ages 6 and up when they are accompanied by a paying/painting adult ** Every attendee needs their own ticket.*** No toddlers or babies allowed in the event area***

Need to know:

  • Only those with tickets will be allowed in the event area, no toddlers or babies please.

  • Each guest must purchase a ticket and all guests under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian (one adult for every three underage guests, please)

  • All painting supplies, and instruction are included, and our local host restaurant will have food and drinks available for purchase.

  • We use acrylic-based paint that usually comes out of clothing if you catch it while it’s still wet. To lighten your laundry load, have kids wear play clothes to the event.

  • A host will be taking photos to share, but if you don’t want your child’s picture taken, feel free to ask the host to steer clear of your section.

  • Help keep your artist from becoming a starving one - tips are appreciated!

Davis Bros. Pizza

Davis Bros. Pizza was East Peoria's first pizzeria. The original location on the four corners downtown was opened for business in 1948 by three Davis brothers. Don Davis, the son of one of the brothers, bought the establishment in 1976. He and his wife, Lorene, ran the restaurant until they sold the property and retired in 1986, making the way for Town Centre II. Don's son Dan then began to serve Davis Bros. Pizza in a variety of area locations until Don and Lorene came out of retirement and re-opened in the current Fondulac Plaza location in 1997. In 2002 the Davis' decided to retire again, and announced the closing of Davis Bros. What the Davis' didn't know was that they had one loyal, hungry customer in Texas who was not about to let Davis Bros. close. She was a former Richwoods High School teacher, who moved to Texas in 1980. When she came to visit family and friends in Central Illinois, she would always gather a group to eat at Davis Bros. Upon departing for Texas she would load up 15 to 20 pizzas. When she ran out of pizzas, her friends would then supplement her Davis Bros. craving with frozen pizzas shipped on dry ice. When her best friend informed her of Davis' retirement and the subsequent closing of Davis Bros. in 2002, she flew home immediately, struck a deal with the Davis' family and became the new owner of Davis Bros. Pizza; including the name, the recipe and the original phone booth!

Your host

Photo of a Yaymaker Host named Erin McCarty

Hello friends! Erin McCarty here. Peoria Heights, IL is my hometown, go Patriots! Since my hometown is based on small businesses, I'm all about shopping and supporting local. On that note, the local art scene is where it's at! SHOP LOCAL! When I don't have paint smeared on my face, I am chasing around my two kiddos and making terrible puns with my biggest supporter, my husband! I could draw a stick figure and this guy would frame it. Here's a few more of my interests: throwing birthday parties, HALLOWEEN, walking the trails, buying various crafting supplies, binging Netflix, baking, a good book, anything sugary and sweet, attempting Pinterest DIYs, video games, and trying new things! I would love for you all to join me on this adventure, we'll have fun, learn, laugh, and create some amazing art together! You may even find that you have a hidden talent. You'll never know if you don't try! Can't wait to paint with you!
