Candle Maker: Craft your own artisanal candles

Candle making at your favorite local spot? Who would have thought? Join us this week for a Candle Maker event and craft your own artisanal candles in just two hours. No experience necessary – our master crafter Wait for it..... .. knows just how to light the way and will walk you through all the steps you need to craft your own custom candles. You'll work with soy-based wax, scented oils, and special decorative elements to make your candles look just how you want them. And best of all, the event is at Brandy Pete's (Small Room) in Boston – grab some friends, come out early for a glass of wine and a bite to eat and make a night of it. At Yaymaker we are all about helping you to get creative bringing you some YAY!

Brandy Pete's, a longtime Landmark in Boston's Financial District, was established as a restaurant in 1933 (at the end of Prohibition) by Pete Sabia. It was located at 80 Broad Street, diagonally left of Franklin Street, and a two minute walk from its current location. A Brandy drinker, Peter was often seen talking with customers having a snifter in his hand. It became tradition that anyone who was new to Pete's, or complained about the food or service, etc. had to buy Pete a Brandy, hence the name "Brandy Pete's". It is the goal of the establishment to carry on the tradition of providing a friendly atmosphere featuring an honest drink, a wide-ranging, moderately priced menu, from salads and sandwiches to steaks and fine dining entrees in the evening, with fast and attentive service.
