Candle Maker: Craft your own artisanal candles

Make some extra yay this week and join us for a Candle Maker event at Silver Spring Mining Co. (Perry Hall) in Perry Hall. You'll spend the evening making your own handcrafted artisanal candles while you laugh and relax with your friends! Working with soy-based wax, scented oils, and special decorative elements, you'll make your candles look and smell just how you want them to. Whether you give them as gifts or keep them for your own décor, you'll be amazed at what you can do in just two hours! No experience necessary, our master crafter Lauren Carlo will guide you through the whole zen-sational process. Come out early for an extra glass of wine and make a night of it! At Yaymaker, we want to help you come together, connect, and create! Join us and let's make some YAY this week!

Lauren Carlo is a realist artist working in Baltimore, MD. Lauren spends her days attending the Schuler School of Fine Arts in Station North as a full time student. She studies classical realism (painting things to look realistic, but in the way of the old masters like Rembrant) and paints paintings endlessly. Lauren has a BFA in Studio Art (cough painting) from Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.

Lauren actually wants to make painting and teaching painting her career. She loves it that much. She values paintnites that impart some real nuggets of information to its students. Lauren strives to keep her paintnites fun and lighthearted and has been complimented in many annoymous surveys for her patience.
