The Original Paint Nite: Unleash your inner artist

In this beginner's class where no previous stitch skills are required, you’ll create a beautiful floral embroidered design + monogram to hang on your wall or add to fun totes or one-of-a-kind tees.  You’ll be able to use your new, totally on-trend stitch skills and class template to create something that showcases your unique style!

In just 2 hours you’ll learn:

how to prep your embroidery hoop for modern embroidery stitches

how to transfer an embroidery pattern onto fabric

the basics of selecting the perfect thread and color theory

how to start and end your embroidery project

how to create essential stitches, such as the woven wheel roses, french knots, fishbone leaves, stem stitch, and back stitch

Supplies needed - you can find a full kit here:

Embroidery needle

Embroidery floss

Embroidery hoop

Woven fabric (including an extra piece of scrap fabric to practice stitches on first)


Pen or pencil

PDF download of floral embroidery pattern (sent with email confirmation)

Can't get supplies? Look around your home for alternative materials. Maybe you have a sewing kit hiding somewhere? Search for woven fabric that can be cut up, such as old sheets or pillow cases. You can start with a needle, thread, and pretty much any piece of non-stretchy fabric. These might not be the ideal supplies, but enough to participate to get those creative juices flowing.
