Paint Nite: Here Comes The Sun II
For those of you who want to try something new in the comfort of your home (and kill some boredom), we bring you the Virtual Paint Nite! In this new twist on The Original Paint Nite, you can enjoy the experience you know and love right from your house, and still have the banter of an in-person event. Get step-by-step instructions from artist Jessi Adamson through Zoom, a live-streaming site that allows you to chat and interact along the way. Use the supplies you already have at home or purchase your own supplies from a local business/online.
For this event you will need:
Canvas, board, cardboard, or heavy-duty paper - any size you want. The demo will be painted on a 16" x 20" canvas. You can even re-use a canvas you already have - just be sure to give it a coat of white paint or primer before the event!
Paint - any ACRYLIC paint, in colors red, yellow, blue, black, and white. Not tempera paint. The demo will use Sargent Art Acrylics. Liquitex Basics Acrylics and Artist's Loft Acrylics are also available at many retailers.
Brushes - 3 different sizes: Big, medium, and small. Any brushes you like will work, but the artist recommends White Taklon or another synthetic material.
Easel - optional! Prop your canvas up against something, lay it flat on the table, or find a tabletop easel at a retail store.
Retail stores to find supplies: Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Jo-Ann, Wal-Mart, Amazon.com, DickBlick.com, or a local art shop near you.
Other supplies you will need:
a cup for water
paper towels, rag, or cloth
paper plate, pallette, or plastic container lid
apron or old piece of clothing you don't mind getting messy
tablecloth, trash bag, or newspapers to protect your table
Grab a snack, pour a drink, and hop on to Zoom to join the fun! The link to join will be sent in your confirmation email.
Let's stay connected and creative!
You may reschedule or cancel tickets up to 8 hours before the event starts. Read our reschedule policy here.
