Paint Nite: Paint Your Pet: Colorful Acrylics on Paper
Available as a Private Event:
The Original Paint Nite: Unleash your inner artist
Virtual Paint Your Pet (or your favorite animal!)
Email your pet photo to the artist and she'll send back your edited photo (with a solid white background) for you to print at home on heavy paper. Get instructions for painting directly on top of your printed photo on paper while she paints her pet along with you! The live event will start with different options to fill in your background and focus on demonstrations of blending and textures for your pet. Everyone will end up with their own unique piece of meaningful art!
**IMPORTANT** DEADLINE TO SIGN UP AND EMAIL YOUR PHOTO is Wednesday, April 14th at 2 pm CT
Email 2 - 3 photos to Jessica.Adamson@localyaymaker.com with your name and the date you are registered for, and she will pick the photo that works best for painting. Other animals (like bears, deer, unicorns, or dragons) are also welcome! Sharp, close-up photos work best. Only 1 pet per photo/ticket. It will be cropped to print an 8.5" x 11" format, but you can also request a different ratio if you plan to print bigger. You'll receive your photo to print out by 6 pm CT on Wednesday, April 14th, so you can print it in advance.
For this event you will need:
Heavy-duty paper - cardstock, multimedia paper, acrylic paper, watercolor paper, or bristol paper. Check what size and weight your printer will allow. The artist will be using 100 lb. multimedia paper that has been trimmed to 8.5 x 11 inches. Most standard printers can handle paper that is 100 lb. or less, but if your printer can take thicker paper (like 300 lb. watercolor paper or acrylic paper), then go thicker!
Printer and ink - Make sure your printer works and has ink. Or, use a local printing shop near you.
Paint - ACRYLIC paint: red, yellow, blue, black, and white. The artist will demonstrate using rainbow colors, but you can choose any colors you wish.
Brushes - 3 different sizes. The demo will use a Size 1 for the smallest brush.
Tape - You can tape the corners or edges of your paper down to prevent it from curling.
Cup for water, paper towels, paper plate (or palette), apron, and tablecloth
Grab a snack, pour a drink, and hop on to Zoom to join the fun! The link to join will be sent in your confirmation email. Let's stay connected and creative!
Total Price of this experience includes an Experience Fee.
