Carytown Burger and Fries (Short Pump)

Join us at  Carytown Burger and Fries in Short Pump!  Richmond, Virginia is a city that is overflowing with history. Carytown Burgers & Fries is no different! The building that now houses our quaint little “mother-ship” restaurant was built in 1841, making it one of the oldest buildings in Carytown! Long before the boutiques and Mom & Pop shops started sprouting up on the “Mile of Style”, what is now called Cary Street was once a toll road called Westham Plank Road. When you walk into our place to get the best burger in town, you’re walking into what was once the toll taker’s house, about 200 years ago! Mike Barber spent 13 years in the restaurant business while earning a degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado Boulder and a specialized hospitality education from the Hotel and Restaurant School at Sierra Nevada College in Lake Tahoe, NV. During this time, he saved money and dreamed of opening his own restaurant. He finally settled in Richmond in 1997 before realizing his dream when he opened Carytown Burgers and Fries in 1999. It didn’t take long for CB&F to get noticed, winning Citysearch.com‘s “Best Burger” honors that very year! It’s been a blur of smiling faces and full bellies ever since!
