Paint Nite: Red Barn Wishes
The Original Paint Nite: Unleash your inner artist
This event is for the kids, or adults, in the family and has all the fun of a regular Paint Nite event but in the comfort of your own home. If you want to draw, you will need paper, markers, crayons or colored pencils. If you have paint supplies, you will need paint, brushes, canvas, water, paper plate, paper towels, etc. We use primary colors (blue, red and yellow) and black and white paint. You will learn how to mix using just these colors. We typically use a larger flat brush for most backgrounds and a small detail brush; if you have a medium brush that will be helpful. Be creative and use what you have at home, maybe it is a recycled canvas, a piece of wood in the garage. We will show you how to create this picture in approximately 1.5 hours. Please go to Zoom.com to download the required software program (free). You will receive a one-time link to access the event.
NOTE: Recommended Supplies: Paint Nite supply kits and craft supplies are available for purchase at https://urbanpaper.square.site/ or you can use supplies you have at home. Some craft stores such as Michaels, Hobby Lobby and JoAnn Fabrics are either open or have curbside pick up. Check with your local crafter since some stores are opening up!
Kmbris joins Paint Nite after several years of experience as a “paint and sip” instructor. She loves painting and creating a party around the buzz of creative expression. She especially enjoys classes where participants overcome their apprehension, or fear, and have a blast doing art! Her own artistic passion is learning oil painting with local professional artist, Jan Cook Mack, focusing on portraiture, landscapes, and still life forms. Kmbris loves to cook healthy, delicious cuisine, digging in the dirt of her vineyard, traveling to see art worldwide, and cuddling with her beloved and three cats. Come join her for an evening to explore your artistic play!
The host was awesome. Gave clear guidance and made it fun. Only issue wasZoom kept cutting her off after a certain time period so we had to keep logging back in.
Very friendly and good at explaining how to paint.
Was very good at explaining how to draft out picture before we painted it really helped layout the space on the canvas.
