Amanda Sylvester

Looking back Amanda cannot remember a time in her life where art was not present. Art has brought her on a fantastic journey from happily doodling with crayons to fabricating sculptures. Amanda, who is from southeast Massachusetts, recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a BFA in Art Education. As an educator she hopes to share her passion for art with others. During, her time at college, Amanda studied a variety of artistic disciplines. However, she considers herself mostly involved in sculpture and painting. Her artistic inspirations initially come from relationships with nature. She believes art is not limited to being an object or idea, but art can be a dynamic experience as well.

\n Aside from being involved in art, Amanda loves food, traveling, fishing, and spending time with family and her cats. She lives life to its fullest and enjoys everything the world has to offer.
